Hi. Just wondering if anyone can see a nasal bone in this pic?
I have been worrying about the downs risk since my 12 week scan (which was at 13+6) even though it came back lower risk (although higher than lots of other people I know).

The hospital didn't mention anything about the nasal bone - so coming to Mumsnet ❤️

Yes I think so ....but really the expert is your sonographer....and if they didn't mention anything then you should be reassured more than a load of ransoms on MN?

Didn't want to read and run but you'd need a sonographer to give you an answer not an MNer!

I think so, although I'm not an expert obviously. This is something I worried about a lot in pregnancy though so I do get it. If you are worried then better to speak to a medical professional.

Thanks all - I have asked the sonographer at the hospital to have a look and call me back but not sure when that will be given busy NHS times etc! I am just looking for a bit of reassurance, and I know sometimes medical professionals come on the MN boards too.

I think I can see it too but due to previous losses I am finding myself getting more anxious this pregnancy about every little thing

They will have told you if they were worried. Your measurements and blood test results all feed into the risk factor you're given. If they were worried about any of the measurements it would have been taken into account x

Update (not that anyone is necessarily following haha) - sonographer called me back already, and was very lovely and said she definitely saw the nasal bone during the scan and also explained a bit more about the NT measurement I got and how/why it's normal etc so feeling more reassured now :)
