Flu jab 1 day before induction?

Hello,

I am nearly 39 weeks and realised that my flu jab is booked for next week and I am due to be induced the next day or two. I would like the flu jab anyway (to protect baby from flu when they are born) but wondering if it's worth booking a paid one after babies born vs the nhs one a day before babies due as dont want to feel rubbish after the jab and also wont be protected anyway whilst pregnant.

Thanks 😊

I guess I am asking if you felt okay after your jab? If it's as simple as a vaccine with no side effects it's no brainer but I dont want fever and aches just before giving birth!

Had covid jab a few weeks ago no issues

I had covid and flu jab same time 3 days before my due date (ended up 11 days over due) but was fine next day. Does depend on the person though.

Flu vaccine takes two weeks to 'work'.

I had mine 10 days ago (at 34-ish weeks) and has absolutely no side-effects from it, not even a sore arm.

Best wishes for the birth!

That's promising that it seems to have been pretty easy going after others had the flu jab :)

I had mine last week, my arm was sore and swollen for a few days.

Can you rearrange it for this week?
