Hi, is anyone else like me, I was able to work from home albeit almost as a zombie until week 12, then this horrendus acid reflux, sickness, and exhaustion has hit me. I was unable to go to work most of last week, and today, as well, so I'm now signed off for a couple of weeks.

I feel really embarassed as some people at work know, and they were all expecting me to get better by second trimester, i'm worried they think i'm exaggerating.

Did anyone else feel like this around the turn of the second trimester, and if so, how did you manage it?

No advice really except don't feel embarrassed! Everyone's pregnancy is different, and I'm sure you are not exaggerating! There's people who love being pregnant and those who don't because they have a horrible time (me!), and nothing to be embarrassed about at all. Just take care of yourself and go back to work when you are ready. But be careful of when you are signed off work until as I believe (but you might want to check to be sure) maternity pay is based on earnings between 17 and 25 weeks, and if you are on sick pay at the time you might not be eligible for maternity pay or it could be significantly reduced. Hope you feel better soon!!

Mine would come and go in waves. So some days I would feel better, then the next day I would be worse than ever, like I had gone back to 8weeks pregnant again. I didn't vomit at all through my first trimester even with bad nausea. Then in my second trimester I threw up!
