Excess saliva cures?

Hi, I have a weird new symptom that appeared at 13 weeks - excess saliva. Lots of it. I had a consultation with the GP today about something else and asked them about it, and he sais it's nothing to worry about, common and possibly due to the nausea. However, how have others managed the excess saliva? It fills up in my mouth every few seconds, makes it hard to talk, and also occasionally dribbling :( I have been drinking water but not helping.

I had this earlier on in my pregnancy. Thankfully by about 16 weeks it passed. I literally have no advice for you, I had to resort to a spit bag (gross,I know) I literally would have to spit into the bag multiple times a day. I found it so horrible. I tried chewing gum but It made me have even MORE saliva. It does pass though, so maybe look forward to that Grin

@pinkycatmum Oh bless you, thank you. I have resorted to spitting into something, too! So did you have it all along until 16 weeks? Or did you get it suddenly appear? Pregnancy symptoms are so gross!

It started at about 8 weeks. Some days I swear I thought it was never going to end 🤣

Thanks, both. I have resorted to keeping a towel near me 😫
