Stop/start labour pains!?

Currently 39+2 and been losing my mucus plug over the past couple of weeks. Yesterday I went on a big ish walk and came home to more mucus plug coming out and then back pain/ period pain. I then proceeded to start having irregular contractions that evening, not painful definitely manageable but felt much different to braxton hicks which I’ve also been having past couple of weeks. Went to bed with these irregular contractions and they have now tapered off!! Bahhhh!!

has this happened to anyone else? I really don’t want to be having start/stop labour pains for days!

Anyone? Feeling so fed up!

I’ve had these on and off since 39 weeks and am now 41+2 and no sign of baby! Everyone is different though. Hopefully things move along for you.

Yes, the first lot were about 10 days before the real deal. Had a couple of fake episodes I think. Not Braxton Hicks as I got them too and the difference was phenomenal 😆
On the plus side, my body was super ready when it really started, so labour was short and relatively easy. Hope this is the case for you too.

@frenchie4002 oh wow I really hope I don’t go for as long as that I really feel for you! Hopefully you’ll be meeting baby VERY soon!

@Orangio thats great to hear that it resulted in your labour being short and quick. I’m getting so impatient now as my first born came a week and half early so anything longer than that feels like it’s dragging out for me haha. Off to go on my 3rd walk for the day!
