Bleeding 4 weeks pregnant

I had a D&C on the 6th September, I had since tested negative from that. I have then taken a pregnancy tests because I haven’t came on my period and it’s been 40 days. I’ve had faint lines and today not even with a FMU the line is there and getting darker.

Though when I went toilet today, there was red blood when I wiped. Can someone please help and should I be worried?

Hi OP - so sorry you’ve had to go through that. It could well be implantation bleeding if it’s lighter than a period, pinkish-brown in colour and not heavy and without clots. But given your D&C might be worth calling your local EPAU and getting some advice from a midwife or nurse? Positive test + bleeding, they should hopefully have you in to do bloods and/or a scan.
have you had any other symptoms?
thoughts are with you and hopefully it will be positive news.

Looks like implantation bleeding!

emes24 · 15/10/2022 12:41

@Texasholdem20 thank you for your reply. I have googled and it could possibly be implantation bleeding, though I am always optimistic. It is only there when I wipe, I put a pad on to see and there’s nothing on there.

My EPAU isn’t open on the weekend 😣 I just am not sure what to do for the best. Though I my lines are getting darker on tests, surely this wouldn’t happen if I was miscarrying? Xx

Obviously not a medical professional but if it’s not showing on a pad, only when you wipe and tests are getting darker, I would be leaning towards implantation for sure! Can you try walk in clinic or call 111 for advice? I think you can def frame it as having a concern following your D&C so it could be urgent? Just might help with peace of mind? X

@Texasholdem20 I just called Gyne and they said that it could be implantation bleeding and to keep an eye on it. Fingers crossed it stops! Xx

Unfortunately there is nothing to do but wait - if tests continue to get darker and bleeding stops, that's good news and likely to be implantation. If they get lighter and bleeding worsens, unfortunately it's likely to be a chemical.

There really is no point getting a scan at this stage. Even if everything is fine you'll see absolutely nothing at this stage. EPU will not offer scans until 6+ weeks for this reason.

@IWillBeWaxingAnOwl thank you. Unfortunately all I can do is wait it out I think, these are my tests from the past 3 days. They are continuing to get darker so I’m really confused. I just have still been bleeding, though when I got up this morning there was quite a bit but I’m not sure if that’s cus I was lying down for 10 hours.

Now it’s when I wipe it’s not bright red but pink xx

I hope that doesn't sound at all harsh @emes24 . I just think giving false hope is cruel too! The lines are still there but look slow to darken. You're doing the right thing using the same brand so you can compare.

emes24 · 16/10/2022 10:44

@IWillBeWaxingAnOwl no I would rather honesty! They’re slow to darken but 48 hours from Friday to today has gotten darker? Or do you think that doesn’t matter? Could it be a possible chemical pregnancy do you think?

I would still be considering a chemical @emes24 as the HCG looks slow to rise BUT I also know someone who had slow rising HCG and has a healthy baby, so it's possible. Hopefully a test in 2 days shows a good line!I know the wait is excruciating
