I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced this as well? I am 14 weeks pregnant and have had about 8 episodes of heavy bleeding so far. Early on (weeks 5-8 maybe) I had big bleeds every few days, red blood, heavier than a period, each lasted about an hour and I had blood clots the size of lemons. Now they've turned to every two weeks or so but are so heavy - as fast and heavy as a stream of urine for about 30 seconds or so then slows down and continues for another couple of hours. I soak through my clothes and cover my shoes and whatever I'm sitting on immediately in seconds.
I've been to the EPU each time and each time baby is fine and they can't see a reason for the bleed (no visible sub chorionic haematoma etc).
They never seen overly concerned either but surely this isn't normal?? My iron levels were fine at my booking app but I'm going to try to get them redone.
It's making me not want to leave the house, I can't risk being in a restaurant or something when I have one of these bleeds, there's just too much blood everywhere, and whilst the scans so far have been fine I find it hard to imagine that I can continue to bleed like this and everything be fine. I just wish they'd be able to tell the reason for the bleeding, I'd then be able to understand it a bit.
I've read a lot about people who have had one or two big bleeds but not really those who have had this much - has anyone else had the same??
