Worried about nutrition

Hi everyone, I wonder if you can give some advice please?

First baby, 39 years old, BMI about 29, 12 weeks pregnant. (Feel like I don’t have a clue what I’m doing!!)

What I’m worried about is my diet in the last 6 weeks. All I can manage is the following:

Breakfast: Banana
Lunch: Porridge
Tea: Pasta with a bit of cheese / Cheese cob /
Rice / Cheese on toast
Snacks: Rich tea biscuits, plain Walkers baked

I was taking good quality prenatal vitamins for months before conception and up to about 9 1/2 weeks.
I then changed from the tablet form to Pregnacare liquid for a few more days.

I just can’t stomach the vitamins in any form now though. (I’m heaving now, just thinking about them.)

Am I causing any harm with the lack of decent nutrients?

Did you struggle to eat “proper” food and go on to have healthy pregnancies and babies?

Had my first and only baby at 40. Spent the first 4 months with severe HG....very healthy baby!

@Yucca78 Congratulations and thank you, that’s comforting to hear!
Sorry to hear you had 4 months of severe HG though. Did that put you off having another child!?

Had HG my entire pregnancy barely ate lived off of quavers, chicken mayo wraps and plain walkers crisps. Took my vits up to 20 weeks but most days I was sick within minutes of taking them. Baby born at exactly 37 weeks a healthy 7lbs 3oz. From my 8 week booking to 8 week post partum I lost over 30kg. Babies are resilient and take all the goodness they need from you x

I spent my 1st pg to 12 weeks surviving on haribo and white bread egg sarnies. 7 yo now absolutely fine, teachers all agree she is very intelligent 😂. 2nd pregnancy a tub of Lidl mango sorbet per day, and about 3 magnums! I really don’t think it matters as much as we think. Generally we are very well nourished nowadays compared to the past. Listen to your body and try and eat as healthy as you can. That’s all I can say as someone who had nausea/sickness every day until 24 weeks pg.

My baby was made of crumpets for several months 😂

Honestly I wish I had bought shares in the bloody things but it's all I could stomach.

Baby perfectly fine!

The nausea will hopefully pass as you get further on. X

Horrible sickness. My diet was atrocious.

DD is now a beautiful, tall, clever tween. Babies are parasites. They get what they need 99% of the time.
