Internal scan of cervix whilst pregnant

Hi there

Just wondering if anyone has ever had the above? I'm getting my cervix scanned internally next week to check the length. I'll be 15 weeks pregnant and im feeling so nervous. The hospital never sent me a letter with any information at all just uploaded the appointment to my app. Called the midwife and she didn't really give me any information on what to expect/length of time it'll take/how to prepare so I have no idea what to expect

They checked the length of mine at almost every appointment, internally. It's just the normal internal ultrasound wand thing as far as I'm aware. "Dildo cam" if you will 😂

I had this when I went for my 20w scan. It's just a dildo-like scanner wand they use inside. It isn't uncomfortable at all and doesn't last very long. I was very relaxed and blasé about it, though I have had a lot of internal scans over the last year so I've lost any concerns over lost-dignity or embarrassment. I actually find them more comfortable than abdominal scans and have requested them at my very early scans. The sonograohers do them every day. You get a covering to put over your front so you're not lying there with your beaver out. And it's reasonably dark anyway.
