Antenatal classes

We are expecting our first child in March.

There aren't many antenatal classes locally. NCT is running and costs nearly £300. There are others which are either 121 or small groups, also with a cost. They aren't over as many week so probably about a similar price.

I've not got friends locally with children to ask their experience. What is everyones thoughts on classes, specifically NCT. We are happy to pay as have year of people who are now 60s who met friends that way etc.

But keen to get recent thoughts.

I might be biased because I never did antenatal classes, but I think that baby groups are cheaper, better for advice, better for making friends. Anything you need to know about labour can be found on the internet.

I'm coming to this really late! Sorry, I haven't been monitoring this site for a while. Did you find what you were after in terms of antenatal classes? I hope so, as I see your baby is due soon! If you need anything last-minute, I may be able to help so do feel free to message me. You can look me up so you know I'm not a weird stalker! My real name is Zana and I own Birthing with Confidence - look for the pink swirly logo. Sorry to jump on like this and obviously feel free to ignore!

We did NCT, enjoyed it and both learnt things too
