I have had a headache since Wednesday last week (6 days) - started off very mild back of head but didnt respond to painkillers. Last 2 days is much stronger & there as soon as I wake

Have tried paracetamol, ibuprofen, CBD & codeine & am now getting worried that this is chronic.. trying to work out what it could be

I am 9 months post-partum & still breastfeeding

Recenly (last 2 months) I started drinking coffee - maybe 1x iced coffee every 2 days. This week/weekend had less/no coffee. - am i crazy to think it could be caffeine withdrawl?

Thanks so much

Could definitely be caffeine withdrawal. Could also be dehydration

I wouldn't have thought it would be caffeine withdrawal because you haven't really been drinking that much. Are you well hydrated, and has your baby been feeding more recently? I get terrible dehydration headaches when breastfeeding sometimes if I don't drink enough.

Agree with PP that it could be dehydration or caffeine withdrawal. Could it be a sinus headache? Problem is that decongestants can reduce milk supply. Check out breastfeeding network’s website for advice on painkillers though as I don’t think codeine is recommended to take when breastfeeding.
