Hey! Not sure if there is a recent post on here but almost a week ago I found out I was pregnant! I’m 36 and me and my partner have only been trying since august so I’m aware we are so so lucky!
now I have found out I am worrying every day that something awful is going to happen, I’m testing every day which I know isn’t healthy but I love that little bit of reassurance that the line is darker! Is anyone in the same boat? Symptoms are sore boobs and low abdominal cramps on and off like a period cramp! Would be nice to chat with some other people about similar worries etc!

Congrats!!

We found out I was pregnant back in December and I was the exact same. I tested daily until our 12 week scan and then twice weekly until we found out the sex at our second scan. When I started feeling flutters and kicks I calmed down a little but I was terrified throughout that something was going to happen. I watch a lot of Greys Anatomy so had so many ridiculous scenarios in my head! By the sounds of it it's completely normal so try not to worry too much.

I'm now sat with our healthy 6 week old boy and had no reason at all to be concerned. It's easy for me to say now but try and enjoy it xx

Pregnancy anxiety is very common. You can get support from your midwife if it gets worse. Personally I have 2 previous miscarriages and now pregnant just over 18wks. The anxiety has been out of control and affected my normal life. Iv been to the EPU a few occasions convinced I lost the baby and haven’t even felt relief when they told me baby was ok, I haven’t even wanted to look at scans on the screen. Now I can feel the baby moving its settled me a lot and has helped to reassure me.

@ellie74x

Congratulations! I completely understand how you feel with the anxiety. I'm panicking every day too. I'm just over 6 weeks.

There's a group on here for people due in June, come over and join there. Lots of lovely people in the same situation

@CatSophie ah that’s reassuring, I’m a nurse too so I’m 10 x worse I bet!! Hope you are enjoying your little bundle of joy!
@Kcheey I’m glad you’ve got to a point where you feel reassured, I’m sure everything will go well for you, I’m sorry about your previous miscarriages xxx
@miamiibiza thank you! Do you know how I find it?!
