Gender scan - 16 weeks too early?

I'm thinking of booking a gender scan as I'm so impatient and can't wait to know what I'm having!

I can book one for exactly 16 weeks (falls on a weekend), or for exactly 17 weeks.

Is 16 too early to be sure of gender (I know it's never guarenteed!). Or would 17 be more advised?

My daughter has a gender scan at 16 weeks and was told she was having a girl, which was correct

I had a gender scan 2 days before I was 16 weeks and it was so obvious what we were having I didn't need to be told. Book it for 16 weeks!

Book it at 16 weeks, we did and was very obvious by that stage.
