When to take a pregnancy test? Coming up on 4 weeks if positive, but my period isn't until next week

I have a slightly longer and sometimes irregular cycle, 32-35 days on average with a 5 day flow. I'm pretty in tune with it though, i know when i am ovulatiung and such, and keep track through the Flow app. Me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex on the 22nd (i know i know, we both realized it wasnt smart and talked about it after). I realized i ovulated the day after it happened. Its a strong probability it seems, but I've been trying not to trick myself into having symptoms. but ever since about a week ago ive been having very mild period like cramps randomly, and in the middle of the night last night woke up in a hot flash and nauseous. my boobs have been a bit more tender than usual, and today i feel bloated. it really feels like im about to start my period today. i don't ever get cramps until like the day before MAYBE two days before, and its been a week. thought maybe it was constipation, definitely feels like uterine cramps though. i just have no idea if its worth taking a test right now, im not supposed to start until the 11-13th-ish. I've never been pregnant before, so i have no idea if what i'm feeling is even pregnancy. advice and thoughts? thank you in advance, first time posting <3

Hi there
General advice is 2 weeks after ovulation. That gives any egg fertilised chance to implant and for the hcg to rise enough to be detected on a test.
Some people, including myself, have had positive tests earlier (9 days after ovulation), but for a reliable result, wait 2 weeks as there a lots of factors that can affect when there'd be enough hcg to show positive (later implantation, lower hcg to begin with).
All those symptoms you describe cod be pms as well as pregnancy and you won't know for sure unless you test!

Just a tip - Provided you're not likely to be ovulating at this time of the month, I'd take an ovulation test as they also detect the pregnancy hormone but crucially, are a hell of a lot more sensitive! It's how I found out I was pregnant
