I am having a weekly scan due to previous losses - and sorry yes I know this is OTT. Friday afternoon 2 weeks ago it was measured 7 weeks 4 days; Saturday last week 8 weeks 4 days; this morning we are 9 weeks 2 days. It really freaked me out we are now looking at a slow growth aka 2 days behind compared to 2 weeks ago? Does anyone else have similar experience aka during multiple early scans the growth doesnt always match exactly to the dates?

I think there's a 4 day window that's supposed to be fine in terms of growth. They're so small at that gestation that it can be tricky to get an accurate measurement. Try and let it reassure you that you've had 3 positive scans so far 😊 I'm sure others will be along soon with better advice/experiences

Hi @tiantian1005 as the previous poster said, the measurements are so small at this stage there is a lot of room for error but it's all perfectly within normal limits. My 6+4 scan was days behind but at 8+4 they'd actually caught up and overtaken where they should have been! Have you seen good development otherwise i.e good strong heart beat? I think that's why the NHS scan at 12 weeks as the baby is bigger then and more likely to get an accurate measurement rather than something 2cm long 😊 I would take three positive scans as good reassurance

Have you spoken to your midwife yet for your booking in appointment? They can really help with anxiety in pregnancy and put you in contact with other resources to ensure you're supported throughout 😊
