Someone tell me if I’m crazy but I’m struggling with pregnancy sickness and being around my husband sometimes makes me nauseous. If he kisses me sometimes or hugs me I feel nauseous and even after a shower I still feel like he’s got a weird smell or something. Is this a thing? I mean he is very hygienic and I’ve never experienced this before pregnancy haha

Yes. Its official name is 'pregnancy ick'
I couldn't stand my dh being anywhere near me when I was pregnant, made absolutely no sense but sometimes even his presence made me feel nauseas. The minute baby was born I went back to normal and actually cringe thinking back!
Must be something to do with hormones

My husband smelt different to me when I was pregnant and I couldn’t stand it. I’ve no idea why this happens!

Yes!!! Him just touching me made me feel sick. He was so insulted by it but I couldn’t help it!!!

Oh and he also had to stop wearing his cologne because I HATED the smell of it 🤮

Oh I do feel less crazy now!

Sometimes I tell him to stop breathing on me especially after he has brushed his teeth, omg makes me so nauseous 😂

With my second pg my DH smelt so weird and 'off' to me. My morning sickness was terrible and I think it was just my hormones doing weird things to my sense of smell as lots of other things triggered my morning sickness too - we went through a lot of different laundry detergents trying to find one that didn't make me sick.

Oh yes! His perfume and deo made me very sick.. and whenever hubs touched me or held me, I used to feel like I am burning 🤯 just didn't want to be touched.. also one evening, when he came home, I opened the door for him, looked at him and ran to throw up 😂😂 poor guy, he is traumatized for life! But all these subsided by the end of the first trimester... Now being with him feels pretty normal

My husband's deodorant made me super nauseous when I was pregnant. I still won't let him wear that brand 4 years later 🤣
