Long time lurker, first time poster.

I am 25+5 pregnant with my first and been admitted today with a big bleed this morning and then confirmed rupture of membranes with a slow leak of fluids.

Waiting for a transfer to a specialist centre for further management but I’m very scared and just wanted to know if anyone has experienced anything similar?

They have given me steroids and antibiotics and had a discussion with the neonatal team about what to do if/when she is born early.

My friend was in your situation, but it happened at 19 weeks then the baby arrived at 25 weeks after hanging on and 24/7 bed rest. Baby was very poorly and in NICU for many months but was a happy ending for them!

Their aim will be to keep the baby inside for as long as possible, every day counts and will make a difference to how well they cope when they are born.

Wishing you lots of love and luck for the journey ahead and hope the baby stays put for a while yet.

Thank you. I’m hoping they can keep her inside for another few weeks but it’s a waiting game now really.

PPROM too early is so dangerous. I was told the membrane (or whatever they call it) can self-restored that's why they prescribed antibiotics.

Looks like few knows that there are home test for PPROM, you can search QIAGEN OR parsagen diagnostics to have a look.
