10 weeks and Brown Discharge.. stressing

Hello all, I know no one can really tell me what exactly it could be as i can only really know with scan, but if you could maybe share if you have had something similar. It would really be appreciated. I am around 9+5/10 weeks pregnant.
About 2 weeks ago I was experiencing quite a lot of brown discharge and it contained some bright red spotting, It then subsided after a short period of time and stopped. To be on the safe side. I had an early scan booked and they told me babies heart was beating and the baby was ok. but there was fluid and blood around the baby. Today, I felt something rush out of me . I went to the bathroom. it was brown discharge .But this time it was in a larger quantity and it has took about 3 hours to subside, it was also quite stringy. (did get lighter). I have rang the clinics and can get a scan on Friday. I have cramps. but not severe. Just mild and the most they go to is about a 5/10. I have seen my mother experience a misscarriage and I know this is how hers started. So i am just worrying and wish friday would come sooner.

Not much help
my miscarriage started brown like a period and got heavier and redder and more pain! I was 6/7 weekz

this time at 10 weeks i had brown discharge i panicked
but it was a few wipes and like u sed stringy and after 1day and half maybe it stopped
all my scans are great...

some babies have abit of blood around them that is old and comes out.
i only guessed it was old it needed to come out
and tbh up until 10 weeks iv been bed resting/ sofa surfing cos i have back hypermesis
i assuming more iv moved around now its nsturally come out. Get to see baby again tmoz 13 weeks!

I had this with DS at 10 weeks and a large bleed at 15 weeks, he's currently asleep upstairs- all the best 💐

I've had brown discharge that got worse and ended up being a miscarriage. When I had brown discharge at around 9 weeks with my second pregnancy I panicked and feared the worst but it didn't develop into anything more and he's now 11 and at secondary school. Fingers crossed for you.

@J1290 Sorry for your loss. Thank you for your reply. Yes when I went for my early scan a couple of weeks ago they said there was blood and fluid around the sac.Did not know why. It was not that heavy but was like a period. But this time there was lots of it and I am quite bit of pain and obviously can not help but stress. I hope to get a scan tomorrow but then if not will have to be friday. Congratulations on your pregnancy I wish you and your baby all the best.💜

I had brown discharge at 6 weeks and again at 10 weeks. It was stringy as you describe and both times went on for days on end. I was so worried but my pregnancy continued to full-term. Really hope it's the same outcome for you OP and thinking of you for your scan Xxx

@Chilli81 Hello, sorry for your loss. I hope you are doing well. Yes it is hard to not panic but I think, well I know I do and many people also, always assume the worst. Hopefully i get the scan tommorow and then my mind can be at ease. I am glad everything was okay with your son and I hope he is enjoying secondary school. Thank you for your reply💜Take care

@Fantasea Thank you so much. I am so glad to hear everything was ok. Hopefully get in to a scan tomorrow and i also have an appointment with the midwife so hopefully all goes well. Yes I first realized brown discharge at about 8 weeks. I am now 9+5/10. It is hard not to stress. But thank you for sharing this it is helping me to realise that it that's its not 100% bad news. But then also I am in the mind of i do not want to think everything is ok and get there and be devastated if it is not. But thank you again i am chuffed your pregnancy went well.💜All the best

@SandyBeach2498 mine was much earlier on at 6 and 7 nearly 8 weeks. I had brown discharge Scanned all ok- 4 days later gushes of bright red blood. Scanned again all ok. At a 3rd scan after things had settled for a week they discovered that I had a large fibroid which was breaking away. Touch wood no further bleeds since.

@J1290 Thank you, unfortunately I got a call this morning as I had to tried to get in touch to chase it up and they said they are unsure why the doctor has told me i could get in for a scan today or tomorrow as the clinics are shut. So Friday it is. I had appointment with midwife today and she took my bloods etc. Just need to wait until Friday. Hope you have had a good day and are doing well🤍

Hello, @Crimsonripple. Hope you are keeping well. All was ok at the scan on Friday. They did not say what the discharge was caused by, but its all ok. So hopefully doesn't happen again. Thank you for checking in . All the best💜
