Getting hair done for wedding yay or nay

Hi there,

11+5 today.

My sister in law getting married tomorrow and I booked to get my hair curled in a salon. However now I'm thinking of cancelling as they will likely need to use buckets of hairspray and its not safe for the baby or so I read.

I'm getting make up done too but I read that make up doesn't absorb and its generally OK.

Any thoughts?

It would be nice to make an effort for a special occasion but I can just do my own hair straight.

I wouldn’t give this a second thought. It sounds mad to be avoiding a salon for the sole reason of being pregnant.

Go and get your hair done

dementedpixie · 03/10/2022 14:09

I wouldn't even give it a 2nd thought tbh
Get your hair done and enjoy the wedding

It’s fine. Breathing clouds of hairspray is a bit unpleasant for everyone but there’s no particular or extra risk!

Rockingcloggs · 03/10/2022 14:10

Get your hair done.

Unless you’re talking about your pubic hair and you’re worried they might accidentally blast hairspray up your minny your baby will be fine

RosesAndHellebores · 03/10/2022 14:18

@LazyJayne that gave me a well needed giggle.

Haha very unanimous opinion there, thanks for all your comments, and no not my public hair :-D I question everything when pregnant so appreciate the input. I think I'll go for it
