BFP after IVF/ICSI May/June 2023

I feel really ridiculous starting this, feels like it isn’t real and I’m jinxing myself. But I don’t want to hassle my friends on the infertility boards, I know how hard it is when people get to move on, so thought I’d see if anyone else was in the same boat, or wanted to point me to an existing boat on here that I can join? I couldn’t see an existing board for people who just got their BFPs from IVF/ICSI.

My story so far: 39, trying since October 2019, never had a BFP before. Husband has MFI and I have progesterone issues.

Sep-Nov 21 - 3 months of Letrozole - BFNs
Feb 22 - EC - 4 embryos frozen
April 22 - FET 1 BFN
July 22 - FET 2 BFN
September 22 - FET 3 BFP

Online calculators say I’m due on June 6th if all goes well, yesterday I had a migraine and thought it was all over but I tested today and I’m still pregnant this morning. I’m not naive enough to think this untested embryo will definitely go to term but today I’m pregnant so here I am feeling very much like an imposter in case anyone wants to join me to chat.

@thislittlebird I know what you mean. We're waiting on our second bHCG results and I just keep thinking 'I don't want to go through the whole thing again'
It's the living life while pushing through all the time that gets to me. The ground hog day while everyone else is getting pregnant, having babies and raising their children. I want to hibernate until it's all done and come out the other side with a baby ready to join in.
Remember to take the time you need to regroup xx

Just an update... We lost the pregnancy. All that bleeding was it for us. HCG dropped to 1000 something today. Devastated and so tired.

Let me know how you get on next @thislittlebird. Fingers crossed we can be here together again x

@SockwithSpots oh no, I’m so sorry. It’s horrible, if you want to DM feel free to, I’m also on a thread of nice people going through all this on the conception boards if you fancy joining that. None of this is fair, I don’t know how many knocks we’re all supposed to take.

My HCG was 84 so it sounds like mine didn’t even get off the ground, I have to go back for more bloods tomorrow where I’m sure it will have dropped again.

@SockwithSpots I’m so sorry to hear that, absolutely devastating. Try to keep positive, easier said than done I know. Wishing you all the best x
