Still not had blood results?

I had my bloods taken at my first midwife appointment which was over 5 weeks ago. My midwife emailed me a few days later to say my iron etc was fine but they were still waiting for infectious diseases results and I would receive a letter in the post.

I've since had my scan and no mention / letter regarding the results. My next midwife appointment is in 10 days time.

Can I assume they're fine hence why I haven't heard? Or do they usually take this long?

I'm sure I'm fine, but you can't help but worry can you!

I was always told no news is good news. If there was an issue they’d call you within a few days.

they prob came back fine and all ten postal delays has meant the letter hasn’t reached you yet but your midwife will be able to tell you when you see her

No news is good news. I had mine taken at 9 weeks, I got my results at my 16 week appointment. If any bad news my midwife said I would get a call within a week. You’re fine 😊

My midwife said they'd only call me if there was a problem. She said I'd probably need to ask for them at my next appointment if I didn't hear but wanted to know how they were, because if all is well they don't bother telling you.

They ended up calling me because the lab didn't check my blood type so I had to go in and get a repeat test done, but even at that she said I'd only hear if I was rhesus negative or whatever, I didn't hear so I'm assuming all is good!

Might be different depending on the area but hopefully that gives you some reassurance!
