Can anyone who had an anterior placenta tell me when they felt defined movement from baby! I'm 18 weeks and I've felt nothing 😩 I can't wait x

Around 20 weeks, a few days after the anomaly scan.

Mrsphilmiller · 30/09/2022 11:57

20/22 weeks I think

SalviaOfficinalis · 30/09/2022 12:01

I think mine was after my 20 week scan.

At the beginning the only way I could feel movements was if I lay on my front on the floor. Could feel movements a bit as they were kind of pushing against the hard floor.
Sounds ridiculous typing it out now… pregnancy does strange things to you!

Hope you feel some soon. Once the baby is bigger there’ll be no mistaking a foot being shoved under your ribs.

Scotabroad24 · 30/09/2022 12:02

I was well after 22 weeks by the time I could say I was feeling definite movement.

Worthyornot · 30/09/2022 12:02

I felt mine very, very early from 17 weeks but my consultant told me not to be worried if it's much later. So please don't worry too much, you will feel it soon. X

ZEWatson · 30/09/2022 17:45

I'm 37 weeks with Anterior placenta and was after my 20 week scan I felt tiny movements and 24 weeks before my husband felt anything. Hang on in there, you'll feel them soon 😃

Cakecakecheese · 30/09/2022 21:02

I first felt baby at around 23 weeks and felt more regular movements from about 25 weeks.

MushroomQueen · 01/10/2022 00:55

24 weeks I'm afraid. My DS1, he's 8 now. My DS2 I had posterior and it was 18 weeks and DD posterior 17 weeks so don't fret give baby time to wiggle hard enough to feel

gretagreengrapes · 01/10/2022 01:13

At least 24 or 25 weeks and it might have even been later. I never got the really big kicks that you could see from outside and my partner could barely ever feel anything. I could go all day without ever feeling the baby so spent lots of time being monitored for no movements. Baby would be moving round loads at fortnightly scans but I couldn’t feel it at all!

Bunny2006 · 01/10/2022 01:29

I'm 22weeks and have only felt slight bubbling feelings very occasionally, nothing that I could say is definite movement yet unfortunately

HighlandPony · 01/10/2022 02:12

About 15 weeks but I’d had kids before. If it’s your first it will be longer. Don’t worry yourself mad. It was definitely different to the others.

CurbsideProphet · 01/10/2022 11:05

I could feel tiny little prods and pokes at 20 weeks. By 28 weeks I could feel more, but luckily my baby has always been head down, so I could feel him kicking just under my ribs. By approx 31 weeks I could strongly feel him moving around. I'm 37 weeks now and still find it easier to feel him moving when I'm sat down, rather than if I'm walking around.

My Consultant said at 20 weeks that by 28-30 weeks I should know for definite that I can feel him moving and she was right.

cupoftea33 · 01/10/2022 11:10

@Firsttimemam123 not until 24 weeks really! And then she got into stretching her feet out at 33 weeks in the middle of the night!!
Honestly I never realised that you couldn't feel much with an anterior placenta...and used to worry myself silly that bub wasn't moving !!

Now have a healthy beautiful 3 year old who never stops moving.

Try to relax - I know it's super hard too
Much love x

Shaz1979 · 01/10/2022 14:38

I’m 20 weeks and still don’t feel anything apart from slight bubbling

Mumtopeaxxx · 01/10/2022 20:00

Im 20 weeks and have felt nothing yet….also very impatient :(

HayleyBean · 01/10/2022 20:05

21+5 for me and my high anterior placenta!

SiberFox · 01/10/2022 20:07

Another one at 18 weeks and not feeling anything with anterior placenta, even though I got to hear baby’s heartbeat just a few days ago. Can’t bloody wait for some movement!!

user1472831178 · 01/10/2022 20:14

I was about 20 weeks before I felt anything at all and then it was tiny pulse like feelings. I was probably about 24 weeks before I knew these feelings were definitely the baby moving. Even towards the end of the pregnancy I often couldn't feel anything from the 'inside' when I could feel the kicks on the outside with my hand on my stomach!

PaisleyP · 01/10/2022 21:27

14 weeks with this one and I'm now 27 weeks and feel them all day but some times they do feel like she's a bit muffled and have been mau with reduced movements

Firsttimemam123 · 09/10/2022 10:12

Update: I finally felt the baby at 18+2

19+4 today and movements are becoming more and more frequent/noticeable! It's the most amazing feeling ♥️

@Firsttimemam123 Wait till they start rolling around! It feels so weird you'll see the bulge of like a head or bum on one side of your tummy and it goes rock hard 😂

MushroomQueen · 28/10/2022 13:55

24 weeks unfortunately with my 1st. 2nd and 3rd were posteriors and were 18 and 17 weeks respectively- I have small babies too so it's v normal

Sorry, just seen this after my comment. So pleased for you ☺️ I agree, it is amazing.

AliceW25 · 28/10/2022 19:03

19 weeks. But it only felt like a few slight twitches!
