Hi I’m going to need a double as my dd will be 15 months when this baby comes along, I’m undecided about which pushchair to go for. Does anybody have either of these that can give me reviews please 🙏

I haven't used either but if you are planning on using a double stroller for any decent length of time I'd always choose a side by side. Tandem models are more unwieldy and difficult to tip and steer when the extra seat is added. And as your children are both so young, you'll probably want easier access to both of them.

Hi yes that does make sense, thank you

This is my experience of a tandem v side by side:

  1. Side by side, i had the icandy peach. I live in london where everything is small and fiddly, until my eldest was about 2.5/3 they fitted in well and it was very easy to get about.
  1. Side by side - if i lived somewhere with wide pavements etc i would go for one of these options, i still find my side by side useful to carry bikes/scooters etc when needed. Big and unwieldly but a lot of long term usage.

2.i side by sides - i LOVE bugaboo in general but got a MB duet as it is 6cm narrower which makes a huge difference in my area (for e.g. i could not fit into my local Pret or my block of flats' lift in the donkey) if you live in a town with big wide doors then the donkey is loads prettier than the MB

All in all i foind having both the tandem and side by side options useful. Bought both off FB/ebay so didnt cost too much

Out n about nipper double v4!! Amazing

I went to a pram show room the other day and played with both. I went for the icandy orange! I just felt it was much nicer and better finished, but my SIL has a bugaboo and it's amazing. They're probably both good options but if I was you I'd go play with them if you have a showroom nearby!x

I have the icandy orange! Absolutely love it, so sturdy and I love the built in buggy board for when the elder child doesn’t use the seat.
Would highly recommend!

I didnt find the tandem tipped at all and actually found the MB swerved a bit until the baby waa heavy enough to balance it out. Both my kids are tiny though, my 4yo can still fit in the peach and get the hood down!

This! Every day of the week.

I took my 18 month old to look at them in a big baby shop on the A3

He barely fit in the seat section of the bugaboo donkey and I've read this is a common problem that the seat is quite small

When I put him in the tandem he was upset as he couldn't see out. There wasn't an option to have the baby facing parent and toddler facing out. He hated not being able to see where we were going

I felt the out n about handled better than the MB and although slightly wider, I live in London and haven't yet found a shop or bus I can't get it into. But I can push it over grass with both children in it one handed as it moves like a dream (and used the carry cot attachment for 4 months but a cocoon also fits)

Good luck!!

The Stroller Workshop on YouTube has really good reviews of prams, including a few videos on doubles and comparing various models. They focus on practicalities and longevity.

Got a Joie tandom for my 2 (18 months and 5 months currently) they are awful in my experience. Unwieldy, the weight felt all off and littlest one in the back always seemed closed in by front seat.
I can't comment on the 2 brands you've mentioned because I've never had them but I now have the out 'n' about double nipper and it's great. I would recommend it to anyone.

I have a 16 month old and 30 weeks, I have the bugaboo donkey and all I can say is take measurements!! When my bugaboo is put to the double side by side I can’t get it out of my front door😩 so it’s going to be a faff on school mornings having to set it up outside then place baby and DD into it. BUT apart from that it’s lovely 😊

I have the bugaboo donkey with the travel board. It’s fantastic

Another vote for the one and about. Another reason I love mine is getting it speed of setting it up - all in one piece so it's out of the boot and two clicks and it ready,

With two small children - less faff of assembling is great.

Also you get buy a storage basket to fit under neath

I had the icandy orange and it was great until last week the front wheel snapped off while my two kids were in it! Bloody nightmare, and can't source a replacement wheel from icandy as its an older model and they dont have any parts in stock. So I don't recommend the icandy orange! Also it seems that the front wheels are known to have problems for many people with the icandy orange.
