Should I be on progesterone?

Baby no2 ttc for 5 years. Three miscarriages and on clomid for six months. Known to have low progesterone.

Found out I'm pregnant and around 5 weeks. I phoned my gynae consultant to let her know 2 days ago and I've not heard anything back. The last time this happened, it took 2 weeks for her to contact me and I miscarried before then.

Should I be taking progesterone, do they give this out on the NHS? Any other women on here can offer advice?

Worried I may miscarry again due to not taking this precaution.

Yes, I had progesterone after three miscarriages but I think the new guidance is spotting and recurrent miscarriage as on November last year - www.tommys.org/our-research/our-research-projects/miscarriage-research/can-progesterone-really-prevent-miscarriage

Yes, they tend not to give it out unless you’ve had some bleeding. I’d be tempted to just call your EPU and say you’ve had some bleeding (my EPU is walk in you can just turn up). I’m sorry for your previous losses and good luck for this pregnancy, I really hope it works out for you.
