Any similar experiences appreciated, negative or positive , I need to keep my expectations realistic so it doesn't hurt as much x

Hi OP

I'm so sorry - that sounds really worrying for you.

I had similar last year. Second pregnancy and whilst it was fairly light bleeding it wasn't a positive outcome.
It was about 4pm at the sonographers had finished for the day so I did have to wait but only one day for a scan.

Could you afford a private one if waiting til Sunday is too difficult?

Sending you lots of love and hope xx

I’m so sorry to hear you’re going through this. I, sadly had a similar situation before dc2 and it was a miscarriage. In my other pregnancies I did have a bit of spotting which was mainly brown or light pink. But my miscarriage was bright red blood with clots. Sorry.

Greeneyegirl · 29/09/2022 09:07

I had some bleeding at 5.5 weeks. It wasnt heavy as such, it was about 20mins of red blood with a light flow on a friday night and then it stopper and I had brown spotting Saturday and Sunday. Saw the GP monday morning when it had switched to brown discharge and she made me an appointment at the EPU for the Friday so i waited a whole week from the initial bleeding which was hard. Im 23 weeks now and it was my cervical ectropian bleeding. Have you had any pain? The key thing the GP wasnt worried about was the fact there was no pain or cramps for me and the bleeding was over very quickly. They told me to expect the ectropian to bleed through most of my pregnancy but its actually not happened again.

I would give EPU a ring op

I haven't had a similar experience, but really sorry to hear you are going through this! I'll be honest, the clots don't sound very promising, but my thoughts are with you xx

Thinking of you @Theosmummyx , although I did have one MC around this time, in my next pregnancy when I had heavy bleeding around the same time and was referred to EPU they found a growing pregnancy, and that baby is now a healthy 16 month year old. Hope you get answers soon.

Theosmummyx · 29/09/2022 16:26

It's just feels like a full on period now , they said they think I'm miscarrying but I have a scan on Sunday , All my hopes gone I can't see the baby surviving this , thanks tho everyone xxx

Hi there,
I should be 7 weeks today began bleeding last Friday became very heavy very quickly + clotty.
I had a scan yesterday and they said a pregnancy sac were still clinging on but I was only measuring 5 weeks. So they sent me home with a leaflet and they called it Intrauterine pregnancy of uncertain viability and re booked me for a scan in two weeks.

I had little bit of hope until the nurse told me i’ll probably pass the sac before my next appointment.

Bleeding doesn’t always mean miscarrying unfortunately I haven’t got the answers yet. I am just as uncertain as you and it’s an awful time when you don’t know what’s happening with your own body!

sending hope and love your way Xxx💖

I had very heavy bleeding at 12 weeks and went on to have a healthy baby.

Honeylov · 29/09/2022 21:43

@beccahamlet
out of curiosity was your measurements where they were supposed to be and did they find a cause for the bleeding? Xx

beccahamlet · 29/09/2022 21:59

A cause for the bleeding was never found. It was really heavy . Like a heavy period. Interestingly there was a mix up with the measurements, but it was a mistake that they made and the baby was born at 40 weeks weighing 8.5 pounds

beccahamlet · 29/09/2022 22:01

I had been cleaning the bath just before the bleed happened. Probably complete coincidence.

Theosmummyx · 30/09/2022 11:06

My pregnancy tests are also getting lighter , the lines where the same colour now the test line is getting lighter :(

I am only 19 so some people will think it's silly having 2 baby's anyways but after my first this has really hurt loosing one , knowing what it could be and I'm a really good mum , I try my best and he's got everything he needs all the time but I was so excited for him to have a little friend , now that's gone , it's just been took and it's so sad that so many people go through this is awful 💔

Not silly at all @Theosmummyx . It's amazing how much hope you can build up in such a short time. I'm so sorry you're going through this, and I hope you get your rainbow baby when you feel ready ❤️
