7 weeks pregnant diarrhoea every morning?!

Hi everyone,

I am 7 weeks pregnant and like clockwork as soon as I open my eyes every morning I am having diarrhoea, accompanied by feeling sick.

The rest of the day I am fine but just wondering if anyone else had this and how long it lasted?

I am grateful that I am not being sick yet, and would 100% take this as an alternative, but hoping it will ease off!

I am waking up every morning around 5/6 and it is taking its toll on me... please tell me that sleep improves after this initial part?!

🙏

Hi

Congratulations!

I had sickness with my first baby which lasted say 3.5 months and this with my second baby which lasted a wee bit longer and seemed stronger.

it’s horrible but it does pass. Look after yourself - a huge amount of sleep, good regular food and no stress were critical for me minimising they symptoms. I used to nibble on Jacobs crackers all day.

This stage is exhausting but one day you’ll wake up and it will have just lifted and you’ll have 3-4 months of feeling fabulous.

I have IBS and I always put it down to that but yes I had diarrhoea in the early days. Not very pleasant! It took a while but it did evennnnnntually stop. Fingers crossed it ends for you soon!

I am having this exact same thing. I can't find any info on it - everything always talks about constipation. Did yours calm down? I am 7w4d

This has happened to me both times and stopped around 11 weeks. When it was still bad I drank rehydration drinks to stop me getting too dehydrated. If it's worrying you you can talk to your GP, but please be reassured that it's likely to stop eventually.

Yes it lasted about a week and then one day just stopped! Hope it does for you too x
