Hi Ladies,
I will have my fist appointment on Monday (I?m almost 18 weeks) and was wandering if there is a chance for a scan???? I had a private one there at 12 weeks for Down screening and was hoping to get a free one this time? I?m not very big a bit concern if the baby is growing normally?

Big Kiss

A very long wait, you should get a scan, take loads of books to read and listen very carefully i shall say this only once (allo Allo) thats the mw.
good luck.

I had a scan at my booking appointment at QC's - they need to do it in order to date the pregnancy. So I expect you'd have one even if you've already had a private scan.

I had a scan, a talk with the midwife (medical history mainly), and blood tests. I also booked up my antenatal appointments whilst I was there, as well as booking up my 21 week scan (perhaps you will skip this if you are already 18 wks??). There was a lot of waiting around and the whole thing took 2-3 hours.

I was the same - took about 2 hours in all to book in, have dating scan, blood tests and see midwife.

Due back end of Feb for 22 week scan. Have to say I'm glad I'm at Queen Charlottes this time - I've heard nothing but good things about it!
