Pregnant but no symptoms?

Hi everyone! My partner and I have been trying for a baby and we recently got our BFP! Over the moon however...

First day of my last period was 9th August for 5 days, and my cycle can be irregular ranging from 28-35 days. I have 0 self control so started testing maybe 2 weeks or so after ovulation (I think we may have conceived around August 26th, but also potentially at 10th-11th September)

I had been using those premom hcg strips to test but was getting negatives with every test despite getting to around day 42 in my cycle with no period! Eventually on Tuesday 20th September, i got a clearblue which showed a positive +! I decided to take it as we were moving house and I noticed waves of nausea when I was lugging the boxes around

I got another clearblue with weeks indicator on the 21st which also showed as pregnant, 1-2 weeks.

It's my first baby so I could be very impatient/dramatic but I have been anxious as other than my missed period and some mild cramping on and off, the nausea has gone and I have no other symptoms. No sickness, no real fatigue, maybe a bit more emotional but nothing obviously different, no peeing more often, no sore boobs etc. Does this sound normal? I think i am anxious as i'm unsure how far along (by the period it suggests 7+ weeks at the moment however test obviously shows a little differently from conception date). I'm going on holiday on Friday so hoping i get my booking appointment through in the meantime.

Does no symptoms sound normal? I retested again on Saturday 24th just gone, and got a strong positive again but I just don't understand where the symptoms are! I have had a termination a number of years back where I would have been around 4-6 weeks in the December, and had sore boobs, nausea, fatigue badly but nothing this time around

Sorry for war and peace! Is everything okay?

The only symptoms I had with my IVF pregnancy were sore swollen boobs for 3 days. That’s it, nothing else. I was convinced there was something wrong.
That 3 days of sore boobs is now a hulking teen!
Congratulations on your pregnancy 🎉

With DS i didn't get any symptoms until 11 weeks except for a missed period.

With DD it's been absolute hell from 5 weeks. Im now 37 weeks and desperate for her to make an appearance so I can feel normal again.

hey @taylorgrace , congratulations! not sure if this is reassuring or not but just to say i feel exactly the same! literally no symptoms here and i think our dates look pretty similar. I'm trying to enjoy this as much as possible as i'll prob be feeling terrible in a few weeks!

I never really felt sick with either pregnancy (one naturally conceived, one IVF). Boob changes came a bit later in the first trimester. I wouldn’t haven’t known I was pregnant if it weren’t for lack of period (not even that with IVF because I was taking hormones and my period wouldn’t have started anyway I don’t think) and taking pregnancy tests.

Congratulations and good luck xx

Congratulations! I had no symptoms at all with my pregnancy... literally none apart from no period and when the bump started to grow. I did panic at the start as you always hear about sickness etc but I had none of that, felt so different at all.
He is now 3 and the pregnancy was smooth x

I had hardly any symptoms for 7 weeks, was a bit more tired than usual but that's it. Then I got to 9 weeks and they symptoms hit me hard! The nausea at werk 9 and 10 was absolutely terrible so it may just be that it's going to come later or you might be one of the lucky ones that don't get any symptoms!

MrsJamieDornan · 28/09/2022 17:18

2 healthy pregnancies and no symptoms either time. Try not to worry and congratulations.

Careful what you wish for!! Week 6, I said that I was feeling fine, shouldn't I been feeling sick, tired etc. Week 7, I was in hospital with hyperemisis, couldn't keep a thing down, massively dehydrated. Was in and out for 14 weeks.

solosunflower · 28/09/2022 17:23

No symptoms is absolutely normal.

ParkheadParadise · 28/09/2022 17:25

I didn't find out I was pregnant with Dd2 until I was 5months pregnant.
I had ZERO symptoms.
