Ttc before Recurring Miscarriage Clinic

Hi, looking for a bit or advice from anyone that's been in a similar position...

I've just had my third MMC and had the MVA on Friday of last week. Because this is my third consecutive miscarriage I've been referred to the recurring miscarriage clinic for investigations.

The midwife did say that I could ttc before I got the investigations, but just wondering if its a good idea. I'm stuck between wanting to get back to trying again or holding off for these investigations (which will take 3 months for my initial appointment to come through, never mind the time spent waiting on the test results!).

The EPU have said that when I become pregnant again to call them up for early scan and to be put on progesterone. I also plan to call my GP as soon as I'm pregnant again to discuss low dose aspirin. So these things could help, but obviously don't know yet what the underlying cause is yet without the investigations. And I don't know if I could emotionally go through another MC.

So, looking to see if anyone else tcc before getting investigations done or if others held off and why so I can make my mind up.

Thanks :)

Hi 👋
Sorry about your losses.
I had 4 recurrent miscarriages July 2020, December 2020, May 2021, Feb 2022...
Finally got referred to the recurrent miscarriage clinic and they done blood tests and found out I had a bit of an underactive thyroid (which can effect pregnancy apparently) so worth asking about that... I'm on levothyroxine now.
Also got put on progesterone pesseries twice a day as soon as I fell again.
I'm now 19 weeks :-)
I wouldn't stop trying as tests could take a while. I think the progesterone really helped this time (I inserted rectally as it stays in! Lol)
Fingers crossed for you x
