Is it possible to go into labour before baby has engaged?

Just that really. I’m 35+4 and baby not yet engaged, he’s transverse, very diagonally positioned with his head down. Have I got a bit of time while he’s in this position or should I not presume that I can’t go into labour if he hasn’t engaged?

Yes you can go into Labour before baby has engaged. Have you discussed options with your m/w?

Well of course, otherwise no one would have a breech delivery!

Have you had a look at the spinning babies website for some tips on trying to get him to turn?
