Tiny pinprick of blood twice at 33 weeks

Sorry for posting so much throughout this pregnancy! Last night when I wiped, I had a teeny pinprick of red on the tissue and the same thing this morning. It was a tiny pinprick each time, nothing more! This has happened a couple of times before too in this pregnancy. Any ideas what this might be? It’s just weird, not that worrying because baby’s moving as normal but I’m just confused as to what this may be. I don’t think I have thrush or an infection, or anything like that.

What has the midwife said about it? Did they think it’s different to when it’s happened before in the pregnancy?

I texted my midwife this morning but she’s rubbish at replying. She literally replies a week later each time! I didn’t think it was serious enough to contact triage or anything, especially as it seems to have stopped. There were only two tiny pinpricks since last night tbh. Should I be taking this more seriously than I am?

I probably wouldn't worry too much about a pinprick, especially with no other symptoms. It could just be that you've got a bit of irritated skin somewhere or old blood or something, spotting can be quite normal.

But if you're worried and your midwife isn't responding fast enough, you can always call your hospital's maternity assessment unit and talk to them, they'll weigh everything up and let you know if you need to be seen or not
