35+4 Weeks Pregnant - Waters/Weird Feelings. Worried!

Hi All, so my pregnancy has been thankfully smooth sailing so far. Then on Mon night (this week) I woke up around 02:30 in the morning in a substantial wet patch on the bed! I wasn’t sure whether it was my waters or I had literally wet myself (how embarrassing!). It was clear and didn’t smell of anything really; but then again I had drank 2 teas before coming to bed so it could have just been very diluted wee. I called the midwives at the hospital in the morning around 08:00 and they didn’t really say much at all accept to keep an eye for any leaking fluid throughout the day. In the evening I was having backache and cramps (not painful but very uncomfortable) so became concerned and called the hospital again who told me to come in. We got to the hospital and they tested for amniotic fluid but it was negative. It showed strong contractions on the monitor but nothing consistent so likely Braxton Hicks. They also measured my bump whilst I was there and said I only measured 31CM when I was meant to be measuring around 35CM so they said they’d get me a growth scan within 72 hours. I called on Fri because still no scan update and they said no form had been submitted and they’d have to resubmit, so I probably won’t have a scan until sometime next week (well over 72 hrs). I’m continuing to have the pretty bad backache and weird crampy kind of feelings in my lower tummy. Baby is moving around as usual thankfully but I’m just so worried. I’m struggling to work and concentrate on anything because I just want to have the scan and make sure he’s okay. I have always been told at my bi-weekly midwife appointments that my belly measured bigger than usual so this is why I’m especially concerned. Any tips or advice at all? Should I call the hospital again or is that silly because they know everything already and what else can they really do? I just feel so responsible as I know no one else can feel what I’m feeling. So close to him being here now and I just desperately want everything to be okay. Thanks so much and sorry for the long post!Xx

If you are still feeling worried there is no harm in going back in ❤️

i don’t know if this is helpful or not as different circumstances, but I went into labour at 30weeks, went to hospital and they told me all was well, and went back the next morning feeling very casual as I’d been reassured, but my mum was concerned so took me in, to be told I was in fact in labour and was 3cm dialated!
would also like to add that baby is now a healthy ten year old who just sat his 11+!

trust your gut, and even if it’s just to ease your mind, you can always phone them or go and get checked again. :)
