Health Visitor referral at 15 weeks?

Hi!

I had my second midwife appointment today over a phone call, she never mentioned anything on the phone about a HV but when I looked at my maternity notes it says : Vaccines booked HV referral. We talked about the flu vaccines and I agreed to get them but she never mentioned anything about HV? Is it not too early for that? I work a lot now and we are currently trying to find another place to live in so it wouldn't be ideal for her to come visit, especially when the house will be a mess now due to moving..

I have a HV appt booked for 32 weeks as they come out around 30 weeks to Introduce themselves and explain the service and talk about safe sleep/feeding etc.

nothing to be concerned about.

my original appt was scheduled for 30 weeks but wasn’t convenient so I called to change it and that was absolutely fine.

Midwives and HVs often have liaison meetings where the caseload is shared. I wonder if the entry in your record means that the MW has notified that the HV of your pregnancy in anticipation of an antenatal visit offer at 32ish weeks

I think the 16 week appt is when they do the initial referral form for the health visitor. Mine was in my file ready to be filled in and from the looks of it it’s just a standard thing they do. Looks like I was out on the standard pathway for health visitor and haven’t heard from them yet, I’m 25 weeks. Guess it’s a chance for the midwife to note and refer earlier for any reasons but can also just be to get you in the system for later?

It doesn't mean anything. I obtained copies of my maternity notes and there was a copy of my HV referral when I was 24 weeks, I didn't hear anything off them until DS was born. It will just be so you're in the system.
