Sciatica

I am 22 weeks pregnant and suffering with sciatica. Today I visited an osteopath who said that my sacrum joint was not moving.
After examining me she carried out a few gentle movements around this area and advised that I return again in one week.
Can anyone advise if the treatment she carried out would be what one would expect ? I presumed there would be more hands on treatment / manipulation.
If anyone can offer any further advice it will be most appreciated.

Speak to your midwife/GP to refer to an NHS physiotherapist (a few areas offer osteopaths too). You should be seen within 2/3 weeks as you are pregnant.

I've been seeing one every 2 weeks or so since about 16 weeks as I knew I'd have issues. It's not going to fix everything, but it definitely helped me. Sometimes I get exercises, sometimes I need my pelvis straightening out.

I really struggled in pregnancy too, these stretches are all really good ones, especially no. 7 - that's a brilliant one!!!

Osteopaths don't do manipulations when you're pregnant, too much risk.
