HCG increase but not doubling

Hi everyone,
Had bloods taken on Monday HCG 6,100 (5w 4D) had repeat bloods taken this morning (Wednesday, 5w 6d) HCG 9,500
I know in 48hours they haven’t doubled, but is the fact they have increased a positive?
Being scanned Friday morning at 6w 1d but just looking for some reassurance in the mean time.
Thanks

I had this many years ago. Levels not doubling, first scan wasn't a heartbeat and I wasn't expecting the pregnancy to continue but there was onevtge next week
The explanation seemed to be that there had perhaps been 2 fertilised eggs initially but only 1 continued.

Good luck, stressful times.

Hey @User22 I've read a fair amount online that suggests HCG increases start to slow down after 6000 and can take up to 96 hours to double. Here is one link as an example: www.verywellfamily.com/when-do-hcg-levels-stop-doubling-every-two-days-2371281

Good luck for your scan on Friday 😊

Wouldn’t worry. After a while they start to slow down and don’t double anymore. I’m 34 weeks pregnant and had bloods done between 5 and 6 weeks and they didn’t double.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I really appreciate it! Hopefully the fact that the first set of bloods were over 6,000 means that my levels wouldn’t be expected to double in 48hours
