Sitting during blood glucose test

Hi, I have my blood glucose test on Friday (the two hour one) and I’m beginning to worry a bit about the sitting around part of it. I simply can’t sit down for more than about two minutes at the moment because of bad back and coccyx pain. I can’t stand in one place either for the same reason but it says I need to keep still? The only position I’m ok in atm is lying down. I have a coccyx cushion but it doesn’t make a blind bit of difference. Can anyone let me know what the arrangements are for waiting? Thanks!

For me there was just a little waiting room with chairs but I don’t think there is anything stopping you from wandering around the hospital. Maybe just let either the reception staff know or the lady taking your bloods. As you says it’s a 2 hour wait so they should be able to give you a time estimate of when to come back. Hope it goes well.

I wasn’t allowed to walk around at mine. I was told I had to sit in the waiting room for the two hours and not walk around unless I was going to the toilet as it can affect the results. Maybe explain to them, they might be able to find you a bed?

If you drive can you sit in your car in the carpark with the seat reclined?
