16dp5dt & still no dye stealer

I know this is very controversial and lots of people will tell me to stop testing but after 12 chemical pregnancies & 2 ectopic pregnancies my anxiety levels are through the roof.

So I’ve been using easy at home, currently 16dp5dt or 5 weeks pregnant with a fresh 5AA hatching blast. The past 2 mornings my easy@home tests have been as dark as the control line but can’t seem to tip over onto a dye stealer.

Ive done clear blue weeks which was 2-3 on Saturday just passed so plan to do another one this Saturday hoping for 3+. I’m just concerned that my tests aren’t changing much which could mean my hcg is slow rising. Also tried dipping it in urine & water mix this morning but still just as dark as control line with no dye stealer.

I’ll post a picture of my test. Has anyone ever took longer to get a dye stealer and everything been okay? I have a scan booked for next week when I will be 6 weeks.

I should also add I’ve never had tests this dark so I know this is a good sign but can’t get negative thoughts out of my head. I’m also on an immune protocol for high NK, high TnF & positive ana

Thank you ❤️

Darling - I’m going to say this with love - STOP TESTING.

I understand your concern and frustration (similar journey here, 2 IVF children) but that is an exceptionally strong line. Focus on that!

I never got a dye stealer and tested loads like you, my one year old is snoring next to me in bedGrin

LuckyNo14 · 21/09/2022 07:52

Haha thank you! That does make me feel a bit better that someone thinks they’re strong. At this point I’m psychotic neurotic with the testing, it’s horrendous! I’ve never felt anxiety like it

I also did an awful lot of tests. I have never had a dye stealer. I am 30 weeks pregnant though and have a DS too. It is so hard to relax and enjoy a pregnancy when it all feels so precarious! Wishing you all the best!

I was an obsessive tester due to previous losses I'm now 31 weeks pregnant, I used easy@home FRER and clearblue digital up until 21 dpo. I had a dye stealer on FRER at 17 dpo but not on easy@home you can't get a dye stealer on the easy@home tests it just goes as dark as the control line. Everything is looking great there for you just thought I'd let you know so you don't keep trying and worrying 💕 and congratulations 🎉

Thank you everyone, I’ll try & relax a bit and count down the days until my scan next week. Glad to hear about others not getting dye stealers, I’ve just always envied the ones that do xx

@LuckyNo14 hi hope you are okay. How did your pregnancy go? Did you get a dye stealer and if yes then which dpo?

LuckyNo14 · 13/10/2023 08:30

@LuckyNo14 thank you! Hopefully eveeything goes well as I am feeling like my progression is slow. Xx

LuckyNo14 · 13/10/2023 10:09

Mines was aswell. How many dpo or dpt are you? Once I got the 3+ on a digital I booked a scan that same day & didn’t test after that. All my losses were early so I felt better once I had a scan xx

@LuckyNo14 I am either 15dpo or 16dpo depending when i conceived. My wednesday and today test is almost same and that is worrying me more. x

LuckyNo14 · 13/10/2023 12:43

I don’t know if with the cheap tests you get get progression when your hcg is on the higher end @Mas05 it does look great though. My test above would have been the equivalent to 21dpo xx

@LuckyNo14 Thank you so much for helping me find some relief. I really appreciate that xx. I hope everything goes well. X

LuckyNo14 · 13/10/2023 12:51

If you feel up to it book a 6 week early scan. It helped me massively @Mas05 good luck ❤️❤️❤️

I’ve never had dye stealers on cheap tests, but I did get one on a boots normal test and a boots early test.

Overall, it doesn’t mean much. I had to stop myself taking tests on holiday with me and I felt all the more better for it. Hope all goes well for you!

ASGIRC · 13/10/2023 13:53

I tested with cheapies until 5+6 and never got a dye stealer. I am currently 15+3, so dye stealers arent necessary.

Mas05 · 13/10/2023 14:30

Thank you @SimplyDiana @ASGIRC. I am more worried that it is same from wednesday till today and hasn't changed.

ASGIRC · 13/10/2023 14:32

Mine didn't change from just before 5 weeks.

They do reach a maximum dye.

Those tests aren't measuring values. Just if its there or not.

If you want more reassurance, you need to be doing blood tests!

SimplyDiana · 13/10/2023 15:32

Ah bless you. It’s nerve wracking isn’t it. If a scan is an option then maybe book an early one? I’m trying to avoid that as I’m aware it would likely settle my nerves for a few days and I’d then find another reason to be on edge.
