Is it twins?

I'm a bit worried/excited that I might be pregnant with twins! Reasons:

  • much darker line on pregnancy test compared to the same stage in previous pregnancies (I'm using the same packet of tests - they are still in date)
  • I miscarried two cycles ago and this cycle my body was SO keen, my period came early, ovulation came early, plus there was copious amounts of EWCM (apparently the latter can be a sign of hyper ovulation)
  • I've just read that there may be a link (unproven as yet) between miscarriage and subsequent hyper ovulation
  • I meet some of the criteria which make twins more likely - I'm tall, nearly 40, had previous pregnancies

Does any of this ring true for any twin parents? Especially the EWCM and miscarriage links? I'm only just 5 weeks so I've got AGES to go til a scan (and the thought of twins is a helpful distraction from the fear of another miscarriage). There's no nausea yet or other pregnancy signs. Thanks!

When I had twins they did a test and I had really hi hormone levels

I had a miscarriage on my last cycle and got pregnant the cycle after. I'm tall, nearly 40 and had loads of ewcm. There's definitely only one in there though (10weeks now and had early scan due to not being sure if prior miscarriage was a bleed or miscarriage).

We tested earlier and the line was super dark! I can’t comment on the other stuff as we had IVF. Obviously l hope you don’t get morning sickness but l woke up like clockwork on the morning of week 6 with it. Super queasy, dizzy and tired -l still am. So my thoughts around twins started as it’s so relentless and l read somewhere you normally get worse morning sickness with twins. The 8 week scan which our clinic suggested proved my paranoia right!

I'm 26+3 with twins and I didn't know until I had an early scan at 8 weeks. Nothing felt different to me than what it did when I was pregnant with DS.

In my two pregnancies I had one super dark instant line (single girl) and one super faint line that never grew darker (single boy) not sure the line darkness counts

I had a really dark line with my twins and had no pregnacy symptoms until the end of the second trimester
I didn't have the other things but mine are identical so no extra ovulation or anything.

I did a test and it was very very clear at 4 weeks.

i also had aches in my pelvis from 6 weeks i think it was my uterus stretching to accommodate for the big change coming as the twins were my first pregnancy. My hormones were very bad too. I am now 32 weeks feeling them both kicking right now

I'm 23 weeks with twins. I tested when my period was 4 days late and it was a faint line (all my other singleton pregnancies were dark lines taken before period was due) no sickness as yet, only thing is my age. 36, and they're non identical.
