Second MC - positive stories after miscarriages?

Hi all!

I’ve just had my second MC - both were before 5 weeks, so very early, although that has me questioning why my body can’t hold a pregnancy over 4 weeks!

I was hoping to start this thread to hear people’s positive stories of having a successful pregnancy after multiple miscarriages?

thanks in advance!

Hi @HalWin2221 . First of all, I'm really sorry to hear you have miscarried for the second time. Early miscarriages can be devastating.
As you have specifically requested to hear positive stories after multiple miscarriages, here's mine. I hope it will offer you some hope.
I became pregnant 7 times across 10 years. 3 of these pregnancies ended in early miscarriages (8 weeks or less), 4 resulted in my now children. I never received any explanation for my losses, as none of them were in succession (3 of my 4 children came after a loss (rainbow babies) 🌈 I just wanted to tell you this because suffering pregnancy losses doesn't necessarily mean you aren't or won't be able to carry to term in future. I wish you all the best OP x

Sorry for your losses @HalWin2221. I had 2 early miscarriages since starting TTC last year, at 4 weeks and then a MMC at 10 weeks that stopped growing at 6. I was 35 when we started so my MC chances weren't at their lowest already. But I am pregnant again, 16 weeks and all okay so far. The only thing I did differently this time was taking some baby aspirin from around week 5, although it wouldn't have saved my previous pregnancy (chromosomal issues), but it gave me a feeling that I was doing something different during those first anxious days/weeks.

Miscarriages are statistically much more likely at early pregnancy stages so this might not have anything to do with you not being able to go past 5 weeks, it's just when it's most likely to happen. I hope you get your good news soon x

This is very similar to my mum.
She had 4 children over 11 years, 7 pregnancies overall. Miscarried before every child except her last but she had a clotting disorder so took baby aspirin with her last pregnancy.
