Mini break help!

Good morning Smile I am in need of some help/advice.
Myself and my work colleagues arranged a boozy weekend break to Spain ages ago, this is coming up real soon and since then (a week ago) I found out I was pregnant.
The trip was pretty expensive so ideally I still want to go, but have no idea what excuse I can use for not drinking.
I am only 6+4 weeks hence why I am desperate for them not to twig. Due to the nature of my job my supervisors do already know but are obviously keeping it confidential.
Any ideas very much appreciated x

They will probably know anyway if you don't drink at all during the trip, they might not tell you they know but I'm sure they will. I had one day out with my friends at 4 weeks and it was by no means a boozy day, but we went to a bar for one drink. I ordered a mocktail and my girlfriend winked at me and said 'say no more'.. I just told them there and then! If it had all gone wrong I would have wanted their support anyway. And after I told them nobody mentioned a word about it, even to me, until I announced to our other friends at 12 weeks. People really aren't as bothered as we think they are.
If you're really uncomfortable telling them you could make up a medical condition with medication you can't drink on, but I always feel that's tempting fate more than just saying you're pregnant! You could say you don't want to drink a lot so not doing rounds, order your own drinks at the bar and pretend they're alcoholic?

@Daisychainsx thank you! I think you're right about them guessing l, it's just not a group of friends I'd ideally like to know so early. This sort of news spreads like wildfire where I work, to be honest they may guess before as I am going to be on restricted duties. Thank you again for the suggestions x

Tell them you gave up drinking and stick to it.

Daisychainsx · 20/09/2022 10:13

Ah yeah that's tricky, you could also have the 'hangover from hell as you stupidly decided to go out the night before your trip'... a hangover that takes about 3 days to recover from?😜

@Daisychainsx haha! That wouldn't even be lie as it does take that long, maybe even 4 days Grin. Only issue with that is, I'm on a night shift with them all which doesn't finish until the morning of the day we fly out Grin
