In hospital as baby wasn’t in a good post for labour. Waters went on their own 13 hours ago, been having the odd contractions, some more painful than others, but nothing regular.
this is my 6th baby by the way. Any advice for me? I have covid so confined to a room so can’t go for a walk or anything 😩

Ask for a birthing ball and bounce on it! Sorry to hear about the covid! Lovely to hear of a 6th baby! I have 9 (finished at that!!)

Baby needs to come out within 11 hours or there's a risk of infection and distress.

Walk if you can.

Is there any monitoring of the baby?

My waters broke and I was left for 24 hours (polyhydramnios so a crazy amount of waters leaving my body) before a doctor even saw me on the ward. Was then sent home for a further 12...

Its 48hours isn't it? My waters broke early for both my births. First time contractions started about 6 hours later and slowly built over 40 hours until birth.

Second time, no contractions for 48 hours despite pumping, walking and everything else. Induced at about 54 hours after popping.

Get the oxytocin flowing, watch videos/photos of your other children, listen to some music and dance, bounce on the ball, nipple stimulation. Good luck! You've go4 this! x
