Labour length after previous induction

Hey guys,

So I'm pregnant with DC2 at the moment and I'm just wondering how people's labour's went 2nd time round after being induced first time?

Essentially with DS I was induced at 38 weeks by having my waters broken. When I went in I was already 3-4cm and had been having back pains for a few days which I now realise was likely early labour as they believed I'd of gone naturally within a week myself.

From waters breaking to baby in arms my whole labour was only 4 hours in length.

Essentially, I'm worried my 2nd labour will be even quicker as I've heard, however I don't know if I labour fast or if my labour was only quicker due to waters being broken?

Has anyone had a similar experience with bring induced first time and then gone on to have a 2nd baby who can give me their experience on how long each labour was?

Thanks guys!

I wasn't induced first time, but had a fast ish labour, just over five hours from the first contraction to her arriving. I was induced this time, and it was five hours from the moment my waters were broken, she was high in my pelvis for 3 and a half hours of that, I went from 3cm to fully dilated in just five mins and she was born 90 mins later, so that part was very quick. With my first it took me 90 mins to go from 5cm to fully dilated

@annlee3817 thank you for your reply! It's interesting they were similar lengths! For me I dialated from 3/4cm to 10cm in 1 hour but spent 3 hours pushing as he was back to back and had his head at an odd angle, I often wonder how quick it would've been if he was in the right position 😳

I was induced with my first and she was born within hours of my waters being broken. With my second my waters broke around 8pm, she was born 6.30 the following morning

I was induced with my first due to pre eclampsia at 38 weeks. I l dilated quickly within 3 hours. After waters were broken baby was born 2 hours or so later.
Baby 2 also induced at 38 weeks to prevent pre eclampsia. Was induced. Labour very slow on and off to 5cm took 13hours. Waters were broken and baby was born 20mins later!

I was induced at 37+4 as I had preeclampsia, had a pessary at 11am, my waters went spontaneously at 10pm-ish which put me into labour and DD1 was born at 10.30 the next morning. I think it was about 10 hours active labour.

DD2 came at 41 weeks. I woke at 5.59am by my waters going in bed, had her at 2.45pm after about 3 hours of active labour.

I was induced at 42 weeks with my first, first thing in the morning. DC1 was born at 15:30 that afternoon.
With DC2 I had some bleeding at 40 +4 so went into hospital to get checked over. After spending the day walking round the hospital to see if anything would happen I managed to convince them we were okay to go home. Had the best night's sleep I'd had all pregnancy. A few small twinges throughout the day. Proper contractions by the afternoon. I stayed at home until 6pm. Had a waterbirds. Baby was born at 10:30 pm.
My waters broke just before I got into the birthing pool - it was a proper movie style gush and my knees gave way!

I was induced 39 + 4 with the first and it took 3 days! With my second started having contractions on Sunday morning 9am, had them all through Sunday and they got stronger, went to triage at 11am on Monday, was 7cm dialated and in active labour, baby arrived at around 3pm so was quicker for me, the second time round
