Brown discharge 20weeks

Woke up this morning with brown discharge when I wipe. I'm 20 weeks and had no bleeding/spotting throughout until now. I had my scan a few days ago and everything fine. But I do have a low lying anterior placenta. I've not had sex or done any thing I can think of that would cause a bleed. Should I phone my midwife or maternity unit? I just don't want to make a fuss on bank holiday.

But also don't panic, brown discharge is old blood rather than fresh bloood. But its better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks. Just got back from the hospital. They did some tests and swabs. They think it's an infection so just got to wait for the results. Glad I went in the end instead of sitting here worrying.
