recurrent miscarriage

Currently on my 4th pregnancy after 3 recurrent miscarriages, I am 8 weeks and my anxiety is sky high, I have had no successful pregnancies and all my miscarriages have been MMC
1st at 7w4d
2nd 8w
3rd 6w
I was referred to recurrent miscarriage clinic and All my tests have come back fine.
They have put me on cyclogest twice a day but said I don't need aspirin as I don't have sticky blood.

Has anyone gone on to have a successful pregnancy after 3 recurrent miscarriages?

I’m in a similar position @SAJ70 .

I’ve had 3 miscarriages (although earlier, at around 5 1/2 weeks) and I’m currently 8 weeks pregnant. I’m on the Utrogestan progesterone pessaries.

I’m very sorry to hear about your losses 💔

I can’t say whether things will be ok but just wanted you to know there are other people in your position and I know how you feel.

Sending you lots of love

My SIL did. I hope this is the one that lasts

I'm so sorry you have been through this also, I pray we have our babies in our arms one day ❤️

I have! She’s now a happy and healthy 10 month old baby girl. I too had all the recurrent miscarriage clinic tests and nothing was ever found. All I can assume is that my age (40) impacted the quality of my eggs vastly. I was put on progesterone until 18 ish weeks and aspirin because of my age. Was 41 when I gave birth. Good luck to you. My anxiety was absolutely through the roof, too. I used to sleep a lot through the first trimester partly due to anxiety I think. The early pregnancy unit were amazing and gave me some extra reassurance scans so hopefully they’ll be able to offer you one.

For others as well, I took the supplement CoQ10 as well as folic acid.

Massive congratulations!!
I've never heard of these, were they recommended ? I have a scan next Wednesday (I'll be 9w 3d ) I'm just praying to god everything is good, the knot thing that concerns me is that I haven't got any symptoms other than tender breasts that come and go.

It’s easier said than done but try not to second guess and over think things (I didn’t manage this at all!) COQ10 is better to take before conception as some studies have shown that it can impact egg quality. Just try to take each day as it comes. It’s such an indescribably difficult thing to go through and you have all my best wishes being sent your way.

My friend had 9 miscarriages before her first child, OP. Then she went on to have another two dc with no problems (so is now a mum to 3 with no losses after that 9th miscarriage).

Never give up hope.

custardbear · 18/09/2022 20:34

Yes I've had 3 where I've seen a heartbeat and lost the baby, about probably 6/7 where I've had positive POAS but period came before scans.
I now have two children.
I used aspirin, high concentration folic acid and HCG injections through first trimester
Good luck - Agni's castus when ttc can help too - not once pregnant though

custardbear · 18/09/2022 20:35

Agnus castus

babyjellyfish · 19/09/2022 14:41

I had five losses in a row, then a healthy baby, and am now 24 weeks pregnant with what will hopefully be my second child.

Ifiwasabird · 19/09/2022 14:43

I have - 2 miscarriages and 1 ectopic which took my tube with it. How have DS who's 3 weeks today. I took cyclogest. Wishing you lots of luck.

Thank you all for sharing your stories, i am holding on to every bit of hope that this is a sticky little bean, just wish I could shift this anxiety, woke up this morning with 0 symptoms, I haven't had any cramps in my stomach so far, and only symptom I have need having is breast tenderness on and off ! I just got a bad feeling it's going to happen again 😞

Hi,

I’m just wondering how you got on? I’m on my third mmc now - similar weeks that you had, between 6-8. I really hope things worked out for you!! X

LAURAPAX · 18/07/2023 22:45

Hi @Kappi so sorry you are going through another miscarriage - there really are no words. i have not fallen pregnant after my 2nd miscarriage, I don’t even believe I have been ovulating so we are going down the ivf route and testing embryos. It’s eye watering costs but I haven’t had any successful pregnancies so far and feel my time is slipping away (37). Start egg collection in august. I hope you are doing as best you can and get referred for further testing xxx

Kappi · 19/07/2023 09:40

@LAURAPAX thank you for getting back to me - I’m sorry it wasn’t the news you wanted.

  • ivf sounds like a positive route though! ❤️ Hopefully the process is kind to you both and ultimately gives you a full term pregnancy! Sending lots of support your way.

Try not to dwell on time, (easier said than done! I know!) but women go on to carry at 40 and even after for some! A lot can change in a short space of time xx
