Cyst whilst pregnant

I'm very early pregnant & found out I have a cyst on my ovary, will this effect my pregnancy at all? Worried!

I found out at a 8w4d scan I had a cyst the size of a golf ball on my left ovary. They didn’t seem concerned and said they expected it to shrink down. By my 12 week scan it had halved and by my 20 week scan recently there was no mention of it. I think it’s quite common!

I had a largish one throughout. I’d been referred to obs and gynaecology to have it removed when I discovered I was pregnant. Consultant kept an eye on it during pregnancy and when I ended up having a C-section they took out the cyst at the same time to save me a return trip!

How big is it? I have had ovarian cysts in all 3 of my pregnancies and they haven’t caused any issues. Altho only one has really been of a notable size.

this pregnancy I’ve had a uterine fibroid and this hasn’t caused any issues either.

I have PCOS so lots of cysts in all my pregnancies and never been a problem

I had an 8w scan with DS and they saw a cyst on my right ovary. She didn’t seem concerned, just mentioned it in passing. I think it’s pretty common and it was never mentioned at any further scans.
