panic attacks !!!!

does any one know if i can take any thing for panic attacks, got 2 weeks to go and having panic attacks about my section. think i will have 2 be put under rather than a spinal. any one else experienced this ??

Paper bag - breathe in and out - only thing for panic attacks.

What specifically are your frightened of? Is this your first section, I had an emergency one in 2006 and I have to say, it was pretty nice. The anaesthesiologist made me laugh, DD was out before I realised they had started, all was well, no pain afterwards. I was even walking around an hour later eating toast and demanding a hot shower!

No have got 4 boys from my ex 17, 15, 4 and 3,this preg a slight mis hap to say the least and not at all planned. last one delivered by emergency section at 35 weeks was put under but had an asthma attack as i was coming round, also lots of other complications {see urgent information needed for placenta previa thread, under pregnancy, to get the full picture} your section sounds amazing !!! as it was an emergency last time it was pretty horrific and was 2days b 4 xmas so they were under staffed mayb if its elective it goes more smoothly, thanks x

no wonder you're feeling panicky, it's bringing up all the fear from the last one, you must think positively and know that this time it's been done in a controlled manner.

Have you tried Bach's flower rescue remedy? Not sure about whether they're safe for pg, but I'm sure someone will know...maybe in the health food shop.
