7 weeks and little/no symptoms

Hi,

i’m currently 7 weeks and starting to worry. I found out I was pregnant when I was 4 weeks and during the 4th/5th week I experienced cramping. At the time I didn’t think much of it as when I mentioned it to other people they said it was fine. From 5 onwards my boobs were extremely sore (to the point no one or nothing could even brush past them) and then last week when I was roughly 6+3 I noticed they started to hurt less and less. I am now at a point where my nipples are a bit sensitive but other than that, nothing and I have had no other symptoms. So now when I’m thinking back to week 4/5 I am worrying that maybe I was having a MC. Really concerned and don’t have my first appointment until next Friday. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks!

Might also be worth adding that I’ve not bled at all, just the cramping.

Hi OP! I wouldn’t worry about the lack of symptoms, they can constantly change in early pregnancy due to fluctuating levels of hormones.

From what I remember, cramping is normal as long as it isn’t really painful, excessive or comes with bleeding. I had awful cramping in early pregnancy which I was worried about but all turned out ok and it went away towards the end of my first trimester.
If you are worried could you call your gp?
Hope all goes well and congratulations x

My first pregnancy was like this. I did a lot of googling of ‘no symptoms but baby still ok’ etc. He nearly 2 and just fine. We see a lot of depictions of women being sick and feeling awful, but it’s more normal than you’d realise to have little or no symptoms. I’ve not been sick once across two pregnancies, though I’ve felt worse in this one (and wished I’d appreciated the no symptoms one more!) it’s most likely everything is fine x

Also cramping at that stage is completely normal, there’s a lot going on in there as baby implants

Everything you've said is normal and not a cause for concern. If you had a miscarriage, you would have had bleeding like a full on period. Otherwise, all sounds normal! Symptoms / lack of symptoms don't mean anything in terms of how pregnancy is going.

Symptoms come and go @Summermum479, so please try not to worry. Some people have none at all! I don’t have many - sore boobs (that are now just sore nipples if I give them a good poke) and tiredness. But I had a scan at 8 weeks and there was baby measuring as it should with a nice strong heartbeat. If you’re really worried, perhaps it would be worth getting a private scan done?

Springblooms08 · 14/09/2022 19:54

@purplemama1990 is spot on! Totally normal - I’m 8w and my symptoms come and go. Absolutely no need to worry. I personally decided against an early scan because I have no reason to really and my midwife said she advises against it as often the private clinic will find a reason why you need to come back a week or so later (therefore paying more!)

Thanks everyone! It’s nice having that reassurance from people who have been there and done it ☺️.

was looking at getting a private early scan but not 100% sold on the idea for the reasons @Springblooms08 said!
