Red, hot breasts trimester 2

just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I am currently 21 weeks pregnant and for the past fortnight I have had red, hot, slightly painful breasts with what look like early stretch marks on both breasts underneath. I have also noticed I have gone up at least 2 cup sizes! Both breasts are the same.
I went to the GP and was told I had mastitis but an obstetrician examined them later and did it was hormonal. I am getting a third opinion today and will ask to be referred to the breast clinic but I am quite worried about it now.
has anyone else had or heard of this before?

Mine have been sore and tender through my whole pregnancy so far (currently 20 weeks) and was my first symptom. The last month or so they have been as you described very red and hot to touch. I just assumed it was part of pregnancy and haven’t thought to get them checked out. Please let me know how you get on today. I have a consultant appointment tomorrow so may mention it.

I’m 18 weeks with first baby and have had similar for the last few weeks. Both breasts are hot and a bit red and shiny with what feels like raised white stretch marks underneath which are often really itchy. I’d thought it was just pregnancy changes as I’ve also gone up a cup size but asked my midwife and she wasn’t too sure. She just said it didn’t look like infection or mastitis and if it got very red and angry looking then to contact the GP but otherwise to wait and see if if clears up. It’s still no better after a few weeks and I’m getting a bit worried now so would be really interested to know what your doctors said or if anyone else has had similar
