Is it possible to over sleep in late pregnancy? I am 37 weeks and 2 days and I cannot stay awake, I sleep okay at night but up almost every hour if not more for the toilet and then during the day I can't stay awake all I want to do is nap. Is this normal or is it dangerous to sleep so much ?

Get all the sleep while you can! Enjoy

Of course it's not dangerous as long as you're getting enough nutrition.
If I was awake every hour in the night I wouldn't be able to function without naps in the day

I was the same in my last pregnancy for the last week. I'd say enjoy it while you can get it! But I would also recommend asking your midwife for a blood test just in case. It turned out I was anaemic but it wasn't discovered until after I gave birth as I didn't have any blood tests between 37 weeks when it really hit me, and 38 weeks when she was born. But by this point most people are so exhausted it could also just be normal, I'm just mentioning this because a very common side effect of iron tablets is constipation and that wasn't easy to manage after a difficult ventouse delivery with episiotomy and stitches so best to deal with it beforehand!

This, and thyroid function as well. Its common for it to go on the blink in pregnancy and is an easy fix
