Aciclovir/ acyclovir

Anyone taken this during there last few weeks of pregnancy for suppression and what dose and was baby born healthy? Also did you take any throughout the pregnancy for treatment of a recurrence ?

Not in the last few weeks, u did twice through out my pregnancy and my DD was born perfectly healthy and had no affect on her whatso ever. I am preg again and had to take a few days worth about two weeks ago. I wouldnt stress to much as the doctor wouldnt prescribe. If you have a flare up when your due to deliver they would most likely recomend a c section to prevent baby from coming into contact

Me, I had three a day from 36 weeks until she was born at 39+5. She's 11 days old now :)

Do you continue taking acyclovir throughout actual labor as I wouldn't wanna stop in case i then got an Ob after all that time trying to supress them, but would it interact with other pain meds like paracetamol or gas and air?

I stopped them when I went into labour
